In current era the theory or formula of marketing is still same just the way of marketing is different due to “Internet” which I always consider as basic necessity of life, internet has changed the buying process which ultimately effects on marketing strategies, now if customer wants to buy something he will go online enter his desired product or service on search engine and he will expect relevant search results and products, first he will research about the different products and services, he will review different people experiences and check the availability and accessibility of the product and services then he will decide to buy something, which shows that customers are more realistic now a days they do not follow cliche words and nice advertisement on TV, Radio and other print media. First they do research then buy the product or services which fulfill their needs and expectations, customers don’t depend on 15 sec or 30 sec commercials anymore they need more information and positive reviews about the product and services.
It shows that Marketers has more responsibilities on their shoulders they cannot depend only conventional marketing they have to maintain their presence on Digital Marketing space as well. Digital Marketing has increased the market competition; it’s providing a more opportunities to small businesses and individuals who have some great ideas and ability to change their ideas in online business. Online businesses are also growing rapidly and giving a competition to stable organizations those were depending only on traditional marketing techniques.
Digital marketing provides results immediately it’s not like conventional marketing that you launch your campaign and wait for results all the time. The best part of new marketing (Online Marketing) is that its measurable and controllable, marketers creates a campaign and gets the results immediately, they monitor and control their budgets by making appropriate strategies.
Businesses are more focused on digital marketing now a days as they know that its cost effective and result oriented they are investing more on online marketing, rich media marketing and social media marketing similarly they also invest on conventional marketing as well but the ratio of investment is too low in comparison of old days.
